Bend Bulletin parent files Chapter 11
Western Communications Inc., parent to the Bend Bulletin and six other publications in Oregon and California, has invited U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Oregon to resolve a dispute with Bank of America over an $18 million loan. Tuesday, Western Communications filed for Chapter 11 in a bid to reorganize its debt, citing the Bank of America loan for its decision to seek protection from creditors.
