Rhode Island Hospital: No wrong-site surgeries since 2009

Wayne MillerNew procedures aimed at preventing wrong-site surgery have proved effective at Rhode Island Hospital, Dr. Mary Reich Cooper, senior vice president and chief quality control officer for Lifespan Corporation, the hospital's parent company, said Wednesday during a teleconference sponsored by the Joint Commission Center for Transforming Healthcare.
